The six Baltimore police officers involved in the arrest of Freddie Gray – who died last month after being injured in police custody – have been charged criminally, State's Attorney Marilyn Mosby announced Friday.
Mosby's announcement on the steps of the War Memorial Building was greeted with cheers and applause. Mosby said she told Gray's family that "no one is above the law and I would pursue justice upon their behalf."

Word traveled quickly of the charges against the officers. In West Baltimore, cars honked their horns. A man hanging out of a truck window pumped his fists and yelled; "Justice! Justice! Justice!"
At the corner where Gray was arrested, 53-year-old Willie Rooks held his hands up in peace signs and screamed, "Justice!"
Reacting to news of the charges, President Barack Obama called it "absolutely vital that the truth come out.

I'm waiting anxiously for the pix of the charged officers. I doubt I will be surprised.
How come we always get to see the faces of cops accused of wrong doing in places like Ferguson, MO....but we do not see one photo of any of the six cops charged in Baltimore? Could some of them be Arican-American, HIspanic, etc., or, are they all White folks?
Does anyone have photos of these five men and one woman charged??? Actually, I am convinced that this “seething with Black racist hate, state attorney, will lose every chage and her career will be instantly destoyed. There is no way in this world for all six cops to conspire to kill “Freddie, the Major Druggie & Thug & Criminal!!!

How many phone conversations transpired between Marilyn Mosby and Valerie Jarrett over the past few days before these charges were handed down?

This was a blatant case of politically motivated, prosecutorial over reach. I could see possibly negligent homicide, but 2nd degree murder?? Every judge that I have heard comment on it says that to prove that, they would have to prove intent.
Another thing, the issue of the seat belts. I supervised union employees for over 30 years. Any change in procedures has to be well documented when the employees are notified of that change. If there is no documentation that these officers had been made aware of the new policy, it will be hard to make some of these charges stick. I would not be surprised to learn that the union is challenging this seatbelt policy due to increased safety issues for the officers. When an arrested person is uncooperative or hostile, it is a great risk to an officer to have to enter the van to fasten that seatbelt.
Since the officers have said that they observed Gray and another individual doing a drug transaction. When approached, the other individual ran, as did Gray, but the other individual was not caught. I don’t think they will be able to prove false imprisonment.
The driver of the van was charged with 2nd degree murder.
based solely on their names.. I would identify Goodson, White and Nero as possibly minority officers.
According to an officer interviewed by Hannity, there were three white and three black officers.
Pretty sure the driver is black. Found his mother’s obit.
All the reports that I’ve heard say that this policy was implemented 3 days before Gray’s arrest. It was unclear if all officers had been made aware of it.
Mary F. Goodson, a retired government worker and longtime member of Fulton Baptist Church, died Sunday of pancreatic cancer at Northwest Hospital.
She was 72.
The daughter of a police officer and a homemaker, Mary Frances Stanton was born and raised in Dillwyn, Va., where she graduated from high school.
Mrs. Goodson came to Baltimore after high school and went to work in 1967 for the federal government. She held administrative positions with the Food and Drug Administration and retired in 2007 from the Department of Health and Human Services in Rockville.
The Catonsville resident was an active member and usher for more than 20 years at Fulton Baptist Church.
She enjoyed collecting china figurines, working crossword puzzles and watching game shows on TV.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Sharon Baptist Church, 1373 N. Stricker St.
Surviving are two sons, Caesar Goodson Jr. of Catonsville and Antoine L. Goodson of Randallstown; three brothers, Randolph Lee, James Jones and Matthew Jones Jr., all of Dillwyn; a sister, Diane Mabry of Dillwyn; six grandchildren; and a great-grandson. Her marriage to Caesar Goodson Sr. ended in divorce.
And how many looters, arsonists, vandals and other various miscreants have been charged?
My guess is they are all white, if they were black I doubt they would have all been charged.
A lot of people are distrusting of the cops but I am more distrusting of the mayor and DA in this case. Another example of quotas, special treatment resulting in perfect examples of the Peter Principle.

Clearly, anything is possible in today’s convoluted postmodern world, to wit:
Black is white, White is black, down is up, up is down, yes means no, male is female, wrong is right, etc. etc. etc.
Moreover, for whatever it’s worth, I guess we can remember that Bill Clinton was our first black president.
And even before the Clintonian Era, Norman Mailer had long ago established the category of the “white negro” (in 1957).
But getting back to the current “Bawmer” situation:
Truth has no meaning for the contemporary left. It’s all about the narrative. Even if all of the Bawmer police officers involved in the Gray case were black, the left would find some way to explain that the officers were motivated by white racism and capitalist exploitation.
