but to be honest, there is nothing wrong in running from the police if you are not doing anything wrong.He was reported already on probation for prior offenses. I'd think not running from the cops would be a fairly standard condition of probation.

Lets say youre a cop on the beat in a location known to be a drug trade zone. You approach a street and spot someone who saw you running away. What to do? Just let him go?

I'd think not running from the cops would be a fairly standard condition of probation. Indeed. I was just speaking of the general statement of running from police as against some law. Especially if you have not yet been ordered to stop.
