States Attorney Marilyn J. Mosby said Friday she has probable cause to file criminal charges in the much publicized death of 25-year-old Freddie Gray who died while in police custody.
Six officers, including a lieutenant and a sergeant, have been suspended after the incident. Gray suffered a spinal injury and died after riding in a police transport van that made several stops.
On Thursday, Baltimores police officials said they turned over their initial report to prosecutors a day earlier than expected.

Fair questions but there are the rioters and others like the Mayor , prosecutor etc who have already put them down as guilty, that is rushing to judgment and certainly not how the justice system should work. We had that kind of system back in Salem.
someone needs to put a cartoon caption on that with her standing in a McDonalds saying, WHERE’S MY BACON!
It’s very hard to figure
It would appear that worst offense of cops is failure to render aid
Not sure that rises to murder
Could be a ruse to quiet the looters
This Mosby chick is Obama with boobs
Look at her resume and lectures
Another note is the common thuggery of urban black politicians
Goons
It’s like Daley in the 60s but negro race
And it’s this way everywhere
They mimic their constituents
No pushback
White population of America has their balls safely locked away at the MLK museum in south Atlanta
Black lives matter but not to other blacks much
And the Philly crowd..,,, the white kids.....that little Jewish Ché kid talking all that tired crap
Are we really going to stand around forever and just submit to this
I think so to be honest
Ironically
The Mexicans might not
Well, there is the timeline of events, based on the officers' statements:
Lt. Brian W. Rice along with Officer Garret Miller & Officer Edward M. Nero were on bike patrol when they made eye contact with Gray. Gray ran from Rice and Rice dispatched he was involved in a foot pursuit. Other officers got involved.
Gray surrendered to Miller and Nero and the officer handcuffed him behind his back, Mosby said. Gray asked for an inhaler because he could not breathe, but the officers did not get him medical attention.
They found a knife clipped inside his pants packet the knife was not a switchblade and is lawful under Maryland law, she said.
The officers then restrained Gray in a leg lace, and held him down until the transport van arrived, while he flailed and screamed.
The officers failed to find probable cause for Grays arrest, Mosby said. When the police transport van arrived, he was placed into the wagon driven by Officer Caesar B. Goodson, but without a seatbelt.
At no point was he secured by a seatbelt while in the wagon contrary to a BPD general order, she added. Despite stopping for the purpose of checking on Mr. Grays condition, at no point did he seek nor render any medical assistance for Mr. Gray.
Gray was then removed from the wagon at Baker Street, places flex cuffs on his wrists and leg shackles on his ankles while they completed paperwork. He was then placed back into the wagons floor head first and stomach down without a seatbelt.
Following transport from Baker Street, Mr. Gray suffered a severe and critical neck injury as a result of being handcuffed, shackled by his feet and unrestrained inside of the BPD wagon, Mosby said.
After leaving Baker Street, the officers stopped again to check on Grays condition, but they did not seek medical attention for Gray. Again, Goodson drove off without buckling Gray into the van.
The van stopped once again, this time Officer William G. Porter met up with Goodson and checked on gray. Gray asked for medical attention stating he couldnt breathe. Porter asked Gray if he needed a medic and although Gray insisted he did, the officers allegedly placed him back on the bench and decided he did not need a medic.
Then Porter left to assist with another arrest on West North avenue and Goodson shortly followed with Gray in the back of the police van to help transport another suspect. When they arrived at that located they Sgt. Alicia White, Goodson and Porter saw Gray was unresponsive on the floor of the back of the wagon.
White spoke to the back of Grays head and was advised he needed a medic, but Mosby said she made no effort to determine his condition.
The officer did not get Gray medical attention until they returned to the Western District station.
Based on that timeline of events, I wouldn't call the decision to charge the officers racially motivated.
I do believe that the left is angling for some sort of civil strife because their internal polling is telling them it’s going to be a wipe-out in 2016, beyond the margin of fraud.
ROTFLMAO I’m a dumbass somehow it all blends together after a while
In answer to your question here's a quote from today's Washington Post:
The prosecutor also said that the officers who initially arrested Mr. Gray had done so illegally, without probable cause. Officers charged him with possession of a switchblade, but Ms. Mosby said, The knife was not a switchblade and is lawful under Maryland law.
Arresting someone who hasn't committed a crime is illegal.
Arresting someone who hasn't committed a crime and then causing or contributing to their death while they're in your custody is and should be VERY illegal.
That’s your opinion. You’re entitled to it, even if it is formed from a subset of the known facts.
Until I see evidence, and hear the cops side of the story, I assume a liberal DA is charging with perfidy.
Notice that she promised justice to everyone except the accused.
In theory her job is to see that justice is done.
In reality it is clear that she has already decided who deserves justice and who doesn't.
Or military officer. Or high school football team.
I'm not signing on to "black racist bitch" on the basis of this photo.
Obama said it right from the get go...
Do we have a T O X I C O L O G Y report yet? Certain 'numbing drugs' such as Flakka or bath salts can cause users to hurt themselves because they don't have the normal pain response that limits them from doing so.. WE SHALL SEE THAT TOXICOLOGY REPORT, OR WILL WE? I've heard NO ONE mention 'toxicology report' just 'autopsy' which does NOT include toxicology status.
I fail to see how the Democrats would benefit by making hay against the City of Baltimore which is 100% Democrat-owned and operated.
To the contrary, this is a fine time for Republicans to point out the FACT that black people are treated with more respect in Republican dominated cities than they are in Democrat dominated cities.
Black Americans used to be Republicans and they should be again. Screw that racist manipulator Lyndon Johnson!
(PS: Never miss an opportunity to call a Democrat a racist!)
Not far from Baltimore, Washington Redskin safety Sean Taylor was killed during a home invasion of thugs. He was a 'felon' and was not allowed to have a gun at his home. He went up against them with a baseball bat and he lost. They had a 'illegal' gun.
For example?

It would help if they release what evidence they have and the autopsy report along with the tox screen.
The grand jury investigation in Ferguson played out as it should. I have faith this one will, too.
Isn’t that cute how the one female cop has the fewest charges against her? Why aren’t they treating her as an equal?!!!
That timeline was formed based on the results of the PD's and DA's investigation into the matter. Are you objecting because it doesn't say that Gray was throwing himself around trying to get hurt? Or something else?
Because, if it's the "throwing himself around" possibility you're objecting to, then note the timing of the injury - after he was taken out of the van (still responsive) and then placed back in the van, in wrist and leg restraings, face-down on the bottom of the van.
For reference, here is a (stock) photo of the inside of a police transport van:
If he restrained at the wrists and ankles, face down, on the floor of the van, how could he have gotten himself up in order to throw himself around with enough force to break three vertebrae and crush his windpipe?
What is being cherry picked here? What other facts should be included?
