A friend attended the dedication of the Lincoln Library in Springfield, IL a few years back. He said the crowd was almost entirely white.

It is too bad because Baltimore was a beautiful place. Especailly near the water where they revitalized the city about 25 years ago.

There is an aquarium the likes of which I have never seen before. In the final room of this aquarium you are surrounded by fish above you and all around you.

So sad! I will never go there again.

"...the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra giving a free outdoor concert to allegedly calm the nerves of the citizenry."

Although I don’t want Rudy anywhere near the White House, I actually like him and think that he was a great mayor of New York City, all things considered.

LOL - white liberal elites pretending to be ‘down with the struggle’. How embarrassing.

Then again who knows... maybe they wanted to fiddle while Rome/Baltimore burned...

When leftists actually give of their own money to “charity”, it’s to things that benefit themselves. The Symphony, the art museum, etc.

Liberal elites are 'giving' tax deductible funds - to groups that entertain THEM - and only them.

It's no different than if everyday people 'gave' to their favorite neighborhood bar and got to write their drinking habit off their taxes.

The insanity of LIB asshats never ceases to amaze me. When I heard of this I thought of the band playing on the deck of the Titanic as it shuddered and sank into the freezing water, killing all. I will admit though...LIBs are good for a laugh.

A bluegrass concert would be really cool.

And it’s interesting that the poorest, reddest states constantly rank at the top for charitable giving, and when it’s broken down into the details, their giving is most likely to go to institutions for helping the poor and needy, not their own “cultural enrichment” (entertainment).

Well, they DID give 6% of their donations to Hatian relief.

Rudy couldn’t get 25% of the vote in Bawlamer because of the ultraleftist race-baiting politics.

wow. Really? he is so left wing on so many things lol. I couldn’t vote for him for president but LOVED him as mayor. We weren’t going to get anyone more conservative than that.

Interesting. I'll bet DC is the opposite - that their extra money go to elite 'cultural' offering that THEY can enjoy.

The band that played for the Titanic was at least honorable... these guys were puffed-up silly liberal elites grandstanding. But yeah, I agree with you they are good for a laugh...

Ah, okay. I thought not. I thought it was a rather strange venue to begin with.

But as the camera panned the audience of listeners I did not see one person of color there. It did't look like a very united Baltimore to me.

While the people standing and listening around were prominently white, there were a few black folks in the crowd too. Not much of a crowd in terms of number of people anyway, but then not surprising since I don’t think it was publicized and was in the middle of the afternoon. I assume many of those there were perhaps family of the musicians or employees of the BSO or the Myerhoff.
