Sources allege that Gray also attempted to refinance his structured settlement into one lump sum payment through Peachtree Funding.
If this is true, then it is possible that Grays spinal injury resulting from his encounter with the Baltimore Police was not the result of rough-handling or abuse, but rather a freak accident that occurred when Gray should have been at home resting, not selling drugs.
That particular website has an update.
IN this instance the facts coming to light are that there was no pre-existing spinal injury — internet rumors to the contrary.
UPDATE: More information has serviced, and a story will be released at 6 PM EST Wednesday that blows the Freddie Gray settlement/surgery/car accident story WIDE open
CONFIRMED: Court records show Freddie Gray was receiving a structured settlement from Allstate Insurance and attempted to convert it into one lump sum in early March
Know how you feel.
Ahh. Reverse psychology agit-prop.
Kinda like those pictures of Darren Wilson all beat up in Ferguson.
Except that WASN’T Darren Wilson.
Yes, he was receiving a structured settlement. No, the structured settlement had nothing to do with an accident or pre-existing spinal condition.
Well, according to this article in the Baltimore Sun, “In his documents, Freddie Gray checked ‘work injury, medical malpractice and auto accident’ as the type of accident. When asked to explain, he also wrote something that is unreadable. He also wrote something unreadable when asked if he was a minor when the case was settled.”
So it’s not entirely surprising that the source cited in FR mentions an auto accident. Whether there was an auto accident, or a pre-existing spinal injury, who knows? There was a thread posted about it in the forum, which is still there, the duplicate post only having been removed—contrary to the claim falsely made by the Baltimore Sun.
FTA..... Free Republic has since removed the story from its website and could not be reached for comment.

Ping. Did the Baltimore Sun reach out to you?
Just wondering.
You need to go and carefully read the OP article.
So. Freddie may or may not have had a spinal injury from a car wreck.
But one thing is clear. He lied about it. He alluded to it.
He’s just another lying, scheming career criminal punk out to scam his way though life.
Or at least he was. He’s dead now.
Canw e sue them for copyright infringement? /sarc
Who lied about what? Who alluded to what?
My post yesterday in a related thread: The sources for this story are very shaky. A private forum, godlikeproductions.com/forum, seems to be the first to pick this up followed by www.city-data.com some seventeen hours ago.
It’s a shame such claims are creating smoke screens on most controversial subjects. It sounded possible but wasn’t well documented.
I love how the article posted indicated that the outlet was trying to confirm the information.
Ahhh.....dont you just long for the days when the media actually confirmed something before printing it.
What a cesspool the internet is.
Do some research before you post. You’ll save yourself some embarrassment.

How would let paint cause a spinal injury?
Do you read English? His settlement comes from exposure to lead paint.
