Other Tweets from the same Twitter account of Ciely, Sr Writer at the Fantasy Sports Network:

-This is weird. I don't know which is more strange: hearing the player announcements, players cheering from benches or the cameras each pitch

-I honestly wonder if the silence will throw off the players, more so pitchers, as the silence could be off-putting

This may not be the first time this has happened. I’ve been to a few Padres games where we asked what time the game starts. The answer was “When can you get here?”

The game is the free game of the day on MLB.Com, but they are having problems. It keeps rebuffering.

Why would they do this knowing that everyone knows that the place is empty?

Sox must be playing a sympathy game. They are behind 6 runs in the 1st inning.

Back in the day, I played over-30 baseball. This game will be just like that.

“Take me out to the protest
take me out to the crowd.
Throwing some bricks at the cracker cops
Stealing some skittles and soda pops.
For its loot, loot, loot
from the Chinee.
If they don’t burn, it’s a shame.
For it’s one, two, three strikes
felonies
at the protest game.”
