University paid Bill; Hillary steered State Dept. money to n/p affiliate (foundation cashed-in)

“Clinton Cash” says US government grants to Laureate's nonprofit affiliate soared when Hillary became secretary of state.....at the same time Bill Clinton collected hefty speaking fees as global pitchman for Baltimore-based Laureate University. Hillary's State Dept steered a $1.9M grant for a Mideast initiative to its nonprofit affiliate in 2012. Bill Clinton was paid by their private corporation at the same time the corporation was also benefiting from State Department actions.....the seeming conflict of interest was not disclosed, writes Clinton Cash author Peter Schweizer.

Bill Clinton severed his ties last week — just days after candidate Hillary in Iowa charged that some for-profit colleges were ripping off students. Hillary’s sudden populist tone was a shift from her days at the State Department when she embraced Laureate with open arms, according to Schweizer's book. “Shortly after Bill become Laureate's honorary chancellor in April 2010, Hillary made Laureate part of her State Dept Global Partnership,”.....the ties were deep. Laureate and its not-for-profit ­affiliate, the International Youth Foundation donated between $1-5 million to the Clinton Foundation. Bill's speaking fees around the globe promoting the institutions were never disclosed but Schweizer estimated that Bill made at least $1 million based on his usual fees.

Ultimately, it will boil down to whether MSM as a collective will be willing to complete the final erasure of the myth of its objectivity and, in turn, willing to take her down. It will be up to the big ones to start that ball rolling if it does happen.

HAT TIP INTERCEPTPOINT this shows how money moves from the State Department to Laureate and back to the Clintons.

A Bloomberg examination of IYF’s public filings show that in 2009, the year before Bill Clinton joined Laureate, the nonprofit received 11 grants worth $9 million from the State Department or the affiliated USAID. In 2010, the group received 14 grants worth $15.1 million. In 2011, 13 grants added up to $14.6 million. The following year, those numbers jumped: IYF received 21 grants worth $25.5 million, including a direct grant from the State Department.

Laureate has declined to say how much it paid the ex-president. Hillary Clinton’s financial disclosure forms in 2012 revealed only that her husband received non-employee compensation of more than $1,000 from the company that year.

The Clinton Foundation’s donor disclosures showed that Laureate cumulatively gave between $1 million and $5 million through 2014.

Schweizer noted that during the period when Hillary was secretary of state 2009-13, Bill Clinton spoke at Laureate campuses in Honduras, Mexico City, Germany, Spain, Turkey, Malaysia, Brazil, Peru, and the United States.

Schweizer wrote that “based on his typical fee scale,” the half dozen speaking events Clinton has done annually for Laureate “means perhaps $1 million per year.” He dubbed this blend of government service and private remuneration the “Clinton blur.

I think that just a good and honest attempt may be all that’s
necessary. If it ever looks like the scum gets close
to going to the clinker, they may do more good exposing
all the other crooks. I would be willing to put up with
them becoming more comic relief than taken seriously and
be free to walk around if I can have one picture of the
Marxist scum Obama behind bars.
