Saw a Humvee roll by on CNN. Someone didn’t do their PMCS. It’s right headlight is out.
At least CNN guys on the street are reporting on what's happening around them, not vying for Oscars.
Just flipped over to CNN in time to see up close the cops making one of the most clever arrests of a perp I've ever seen....he never knew what hit him. He was struttin' around one minute, and because of a magnificent finesse by a couple of officers, he was thrown inside an armored black paddy wagon the next....and he was hauled away quickly and silently. Hah!
Hurrah for those cops!

We had more trouble after a football game at my Midwestern university.
I was walking by the Varsity theater, beer cans flying—trying to (clearing my throat) get home from the library, and a dozen drunks threw a VW through the theaters front doors.
I suppose I could call some old honkie tonks like myself in order to school Black Pampers/Guerillas on such urban hellraising things—low hourly rates, major credit cards accepted.
Maybe they’re just lazy or too sober. But pretty disappointing stuff, granny. Big screen TVs must be all gone?
Appears to be calmer tonight, though a beauty shop just got looted. Police don’t sound frantic on the radio. I suspect by this weekend we will see activity pick up again.
None event. Police just did a presser. 10 arrests.

Woah! Cop laying it down with the dispatcher about protecting businesses!
Does anyone have a link handy to a credible source that discusses how this STARTED? I’m up on a lot of what is going on, but haven’t been able to sit down and dig for something that explains what is claimed to be the opening salvo.
A link would really help in some discussions I’m trying to have, if anyone has it handy.
