I was wondering how long it would take to work Obama into a nonpolitical thread. I thought it would take at least eight posts.

THANK you! I was trying like hell to remember where I’d heard a similar idea. Knew it was ST, but (for the life of me) couldn’t pin it down! lol!

Thanks for the find, the effort, and the thorough report. I don’t know why it is that some commenting here minimize the effort of those posting good informative stuff like this. Feel compelled to post their assinine and stupid comments unrelated to the subject. Maybe their jealous I think it makes us FRs look silly.

Interesting, but instead of a stationary press arm if you had a moveable externally controlled press arm with different shaped heads you could mold spinel as you wanted like pressing fingers into clay and produce custom large pieces of spinel or other minerals with this process.

If the press has flat plates, the spinel will come out flat. "But if I have a ball and socket joint, put the powder in there, I end up with a dome shape," says Sanghera, "so we can make near net shape product that way." The possibilities are endless............

Yes! that would be great! If they can make the lenses optically perfect. Would be a great thing for safety glasses and motorcycle helmet shields and football helmets, too!..........
