If we, as Christians, cannot be more respectful to each other, how can we ever hope to unite in defense of our religious freedoms?

i’m guessing you don’t read too many topics on the religion thread here...just yesterday some nut was claiming that the Catholic Church will be fully arrayed in battle regalia against Jesus Christ until the Second Coming...when the Caliphate lines him up on the beach to chop his head off, this nut will be bitching at the Pope...

Thanks for your reply.

Actually I do read FR, including many of the religious postings here. That is what I was referring to in my response. The bashing of each others’ deepest beliefs in Jesus Christ is most disheartening to me. I cannot accept that Jesus, if he were walking the earth today, would affirm many of the most hardened screeds posted on FR today.

It is one thing to discuss differences in dogma, but that is not what I was getting at when I said that Christians ought to respect one another and love one another more. When we are so divided, it is no wonder that we as a group are being persecuted. What sort of example are we showing the world? The New Testament says the ‘they will know us by our love”. All I ask is for Christians to actually do this with one another.

We, as Christians, are reaping the fruits of our unchristian behavior towards each other. Ironic, is it not?
