Essentially, the Clintons ran their Foundation almost like what William Magear “Boss” Tweed did with New York City’s Tammany Society from the 1850’s to 1870—taking monetary bribes for political favors, which in the Clintons’ case favorable actions by the Department of State. And the Clintons used the Foundation money to seriously enrich themselves along the way just like Tweed and his associates did.
