Investigations have been launched at two universities over accusations that fraternity members taunted wounded war heroes, urinated on an American flag, and spit on a wounded veteran and his service dog in Panama City Beach, Florida.
The April 17 incident, involving Zeta Beta Tau fraternity members from the University of Florida and Emory University, has infuriated residents of Panama City.

... the fraternity members were staying in the same resort [as 100 combat-wounded warriors and their spouses]– and caused a night of mayhem. The college kids made derogatory comments about the warriors’ wives, threw items off balconies and desecrated an American flag.
She also said one of the warriors and his service dog were spit on.

Actually Panama City Florida is one of the most beautiful beaches anywhere and the residents are some of the most conservative.
The residents are furious over what happened this Spring and they are doing something about it.

We should ALL write and call to complain that these farts PAY OUT OF THEIR POCKET to refund another trip for those vets - and do it now - not later....who cares about an apology...they need to pay for another trip for those guys! ...a very heavy financial fine!!!

After the community witnessed (encouraged?) gang rape on the beach a very short time ago, and now this, I can definitely say the community bears some of the responsibility. Note that Panama City is not the same as Panama City Beach. That gets sort of lost in the news reports, and I think that both of these incidents were PCB. Both communities have encouraged the Spring Break activities in the past, and I think that there is now a rethinking of the past attitudes.

No, the frat boys throwing beer on the Veterans need to have the hell beat out of them. Why no one protected or stood up for the Vets is beyond me.
