Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio, Known for the hard line he takes against illegal immigration, on Thursday admitted to, and apologized for, hiring a private investigator to look into the wife of a U.S. District Court judge who is overseeing contempt of court proceedings against him. [snip]
Known not only for his position on but for stunts like forcing prisoners to wear pink underwear, Arpaio is on trial for violating Snows orders in an earlier racial profiling suit. Snow ordered Arpaios office to stop detaining people based on suspicions of being in the country illegally back in December 2011. Arpaio and his attorneys have repeatedly said that while his office did violate some of Snows orders, there were no willful violations.
He took the stand Wednesday and Thursday in his own defense, after a Maricopa County sergeant testified Arpaio had personally issued orders to continue enforcing federal immigration laws, even after Snow ordered a halt to those practices.
This court order slipped through the cracks, Arpaio said Thursday in court, The Republic reported.

The judge probably deserves it.
Yep and media here is salivating to the point of slobbering in their anticipation of the Judge throwing Joe into the calaboose.
DAs and their rubberstamping Judges need to be investigated. See John Doe investigations in Wisc.
The radical left cannot handle it when their targets fight back. Something they are not used to....
Going by whats in the WaPo article Sheriff Joe did a very minor investigation of the Judges wife. Read it and find out. It not nearly as bad as it seems.
GranPa Al Lewis was a hoot when he used to be on the Howard Stern show
Arpaio has been an outstanding and exemplary lawman for decades, but nothing lasts forever. I expect he will be either retiring or changing his job description within the next three or four years anyway. One can only hope he has inspired a few worthy proteges to step up to the plate. The powers that be are content to keep messing with him, wasting his time false flag after false flag.
True enough. But how does a federal district judge issue a court order to a Sheriff's Department to NOT enforce federal law?
Go Joe go! Fight communism! Crush islam!

Great find. Filmed in my home town, Mesa, Az
I wonder if the dowdy little used car lot where they filmed is still there?
Arpaio said he that he had come into the possession of an email from a tipster who said he had met Snow’s wife at a restaurant, and that she said Snow “wanted to do everything to make sure I’m not elected.”
Arpaio said his counsel then hired a private investigator to look into the matter.
“Results confirmed that your wife was in that restaurant,” Arpaio told Snow. “I guess (the investigator) talked to the witness, confirmed that that remark was made.”
Snow additionally questioned Arpaio about county funds being paid to posse members conducting private investigations, and investigations into the Department of Justice

Did he ask the judge why his wife would say that?
Will they bring the witness and the judge’s wife to testify?
I think they’re going to attempt to put Joe in pink underwear. I don’t see Joe doing that willingly.
It’s pretty hard not to be in contempt of court when the courts have become so contemptible.
If you are I hired a private investigator to spy on a federal judge’s wife,’we would go to prison.
I wonder if they could now bring Sheriff Joe’s lawyer (the one who hired the PI) into court to testify.
The first question to the attorney would be on who’s behalf did he hire the investigator?
Wouldn’t matter anyway because according to the article, Joe already admitted he hired the investigator.
Bet the feds want to make a spectacle of Joe. Force him to parade around in pink underwear for the media.
