Income disparity the divide between those at the top of the economic ladder and those stuck on lower rungs is the eras most explosive political issue.
It has, however, a very ironic twist. As a recent report from the Brookings Institution reveals, income disparities are widest in the nations bluest most liberal cities and much narrower elsewhere.

“Panam Today, Panem tomorrow, Panem forever” - that’s what the Leftist elite sings from their gated enclaves...
What “cities” are NOT blue? Is there a single one?
Typical leftist hypocrisy: Their own laws and rules do not apply to them.
Look at how the politicians and bureaucrats in Washngton weasled out of mandatory Obamacare for themselves and their staffs
It’s all about marriage.
That is the key to staying out of poverty and being upwardly mobile.

It actually makes sense from their worldview.
Those in charge of change for the greater good
can’t be hampered by the rules that have to be in place for those of lesser moral and intellectual capability.
Now, their worldview assumptions are wrong, and thus their conclusions are wrong,
but it still “makes sense” to a liberal.
Their agenda has failed on the local level in their cities so why do liberals want to impose their agenda on all of us at the national level?
Also a conclusion of the worldview - it failed because the controlling authority wasn’t centralized enough.
Another aspect of the dichotomy of liberalism is that the sheeperals not only don’t care,
but are openly hostile to the information that
these policies fail.
You’re attacking their sense of righteousness when you say
that what they support is failing or harmful.
Of course, there were many others where BO carried only the city but got his @$$ kicked big time in the 'burbs. Pittsburgh, PA for example.
Which is why I mention it quite often, as it has so much presence in these times...
As they say: "It's not that liberals don't know anything. It's that everything they know is wrong."
As they say: “It’s not that liberals don’t know anything. It’s that everything they know is wrong.”
I believe the quoted “they” was Ronaldus Magnus.
Why should we care whether there is an “income gap” there, or anywhere else, as long as it does not result from (1) theft, i.e., the Norman conquerors took their land or (2) monopoly power over employment, i.e., slavery or other unnecessary labor immobility? Conservatives gain nothing when they argue, “They are as bad as they claim we are.”
