It’s large, it’s non-descript, literally in the middle of a major metro area, and most WalMarts don’t have windows. Setup a few strong entryways, and you have the perfect detainment facility.
Someone wrote a fictional post-apocalyptic story a few years ago and used a grocery store as a detainment facility. The name escapes me, but the methods were outlined in intricate detail and left me wondering if they knew something we didn’t.
I heard an interview with an author - could have been the one you’re talking about, who was a DC “insider” and was giving away the stuff they “knew but weren’t talking about” in a novel format.
If using closed Wal Mart facilities for detention centers is the best the plotters can come up with, we don’t have to worry about them.
If the government is looking for windowless detention facilities, there are hundreds of abandoned and near-empty malls in this country.
Yep. I’m not saying its detainement but put up a fence around the parking lot with a guard gate and bring in about 50 job johnnies and showers in an area inside the fence. Put up bunks and use the Subshop facility at the front door as a kitchen and you are in bidness.
Likely its union busting or they just need to close some stores because their bottom line is hurting.
