Christians are leaving the U.S. military or are discouraged from joining in the first place because of a “hostile work environment” that doesn’t let them express their beliefs openly, religious freedom advocates say.
Michael Berry, senior counsel at the Liberty Institute, a Texas-based legal organization dedicated to defending religious liberty in America, said recent high-profile cases of military chaplains facing punishment for private counseling sessions that reflected the teachings of their religion could cause devout Americans who are qualified for military service to think twice about joining the military.

Precisely. And when the Christians have been pushed out, and only atheists remain, and Russia/China/Norks decide to come, there will be no victory for any of us. Of course, I'm preaching to the choir. This has all been written.
I predict that the next front in the battle to accept ‘gay’ or ‘lesbian’ or any form of marriage other than traditional one will be the against CHRISTIAN chaplains of the military.
I believe Chaplains are RANKED by the military and receive a salary. Therefore, it will be but logical in the eyes of the gay lobby to target this institution.
If a devout chaplain refuses to perform a gay wedding, he will be stripped of his rank and dishonorably discharged.
Once this front is defeated, the next front will then be the Christian churches.
How you ask? STRIP THEM OF THEIR TAX EXEMPTION STATUS!
Muslims are still welcome, I reckon.

Chaplains are commissioned as officers in the military. They take the same oath that I took as an officer. They, as all members of the military, under the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ). They take physical training tests, must meet height and weight standards and attend professional schooling.
I wonder how many secular humanist “chaplains” or zampolits in the new Obamarmy will sacrifice themselves like the 4 chaplains of WWII fame or Father Kapun sacrificing himself for his fellow POWs in Korea.

As they should be. Today’s military is a very unwelcome place for anyone with traditional values and Christian faith.
An American military without Christians?
Just imagine that.
This has not been my experience. Our chaplain at my current unit even holds prayer lunches often in our HQ building.

We have degenerated down from the days when the US Government Printing Office printed Bibles for free distribution to soldiers in uniform. Both Catholic and Protestant New Testaments were printed.
