Customer Mary Fuller was so scared by the unruly teens flashing gang signs and raising a “ruckus” in the parking lot of the BP gas station in Memphis, Tennessee, that she expressed her fears to a complete stranger, who offered to walk the elderly white woman outside to her car.
“I said, ‘I don’t know if I ought to walk out of here or not, because they’re still fighting,’” Fuller told WMC-TV. “He said, ‘It’s not a problem. I’ll take care of this.’”
The man she confided in was Orrden Williams, who had gone to the gas station to use the ATM.
Williams“I put my arms around her, told her it would be OK, and walked her out of the store,” Williams, who is black, told the TV station.
Fuller says an irate Williams admonished and “hollered” at the group of black teens to settle down.

Mr. Williams has just signed his own death sentence.
Where is the leadership to do something about this and put a complete stop to this kind of violence. If only folks would support me to be in charge, I promise we would put a stop to it. Promise.
Mr. Williams is a hero, although it would probably have been best had he remained silent.
All you would have to do is pass another law and that should take care of it. :>}

OK, seriously, as others have said, this is why you don't even bother opening a business in a predominantly black community. These feral black punks are like a hive of bees - once one stings (attacks) the rest all pile on. Gutless cowards, all, and an absolute disgrace.
Why they allow it to be a bus stop for a reform school is beyond me. Maybe they don’t have a choice.
The school name should be changed to reflect reality - it should be called Northwest Reform.

The only thing these hooligans are being prepped for is the State prison system. Get real... these kids are capable of making choices... If they choose wrong they should be dumped from the reform school and sent to a jail like setting that keeps them away from decent citizens.
The headline is misleading. They dididn’t attack him because he helped a white person, but because he yelled at them to settle down.
These kids go to a fancy private school?
A special school bus should pick up the kids and take them to the reform school. They should not be mixing with everyday citizens.
Mr. Williams did a kind, Christian thing. I love the part of the article where it said he even put his arm around her and told her it would be okay. For what it is worth... I wish the parents of those prep school kids would look at their parenting/how they taught their young to act in society and compare it to the parents of Mr. Williams. “nuff said.
Blacks attacking as a group goes back to my youth during the 1960s, and veterans from the military of 45 years ago will have noticed it, and how baffling it was at first to the white soldiers who were used to fighting one on one in their lives back home, but had to learn that when you got into a fight with a black, all of the blacks helped him.
Mr. Williams is the guy that we want to start carrying.
The husbands and veterans of the black communities need to start asserting authority over the criminal/racist element, and they need the means to protect themselves while they speak up.
