HEALTHCARE April 14, 2015 - 09:45 PM EDT Senate overwhelmingly approves House 'doc fix' bill
BY PETER SULLIVAN AND SARAH FERRIS 5 Shares TWEET SHARE MORE The Senate on Tuesday overwhelmingly approved a $200 billion Medicare reform package that will end a two-decade old headache for Congress known as the "doc fix."
The rare bipartisan vote, which passed 92-8, marks one of the biggest achievements yet from the newly GOP-controlled Congress. It will now head to President Obama, who has promised to sign the bill.
Its another reminder of a new Republican Congress thats back to work, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell wrote in a statement.
The nearly three-hour voting period began shortly after 7 p.m. on Tuesday, just before a key deadline that would have triggered double-digit cuts to Medicare doctors. The final votes were cast just before 10 p.m.

Yes, I did get the joke. I’m looking right at it.
Better get back on your Bipolar medication again ... it helps the swings between the manic and depressive phases ... :-) ...
Pay no attention to star, it’s not something that can be treated.
I see you’re still chasing me around after more than six years ... LOL ...
Just curious, are you happy the Republicans voted to spend this massive amount of money? Does it affect you in some way personally?
Cutting doctors salaries was never in the cards.
Congress fears the backlash from angry patients more than it cares about a balanced budget.
People vote; ink doesn’t.

Sure it is, when the political numbers allow.
Congress had zero problem gutting our military through Sequestration, and by default, laying off the military doctors, nurses, and medical professionals that care for our combat wounded and military families. Almost 70% of military doctors and nurses DoD-wide took a 20% pay cut for months, and many of them quit in disgust).
Military civilian medical workers quit after furloughs
Our government even furloughed those at Walter Reed who looked after the most seriously injured of our combat wounded.
Walter Reed plans to furlough thousands; soldier advocacy groups worry about care despite assurances
That furlough happened.
But our politicians fear the Medicare crowd, so we now will spend Tens and Hundreds of Billions that everyone around here says we don't have.
Hypocrisy is a wonderful thing.
You said, “Our nation probably has only a few months left.”

I’ll get back to you on that in a few months ... :-) ...

You could always head up one of those Death Panels and make sure that Medicare Seniors don’t get too much medical care. You’ll get rid of them a lot quicker that way ... :-) ...
Since we are doing extreme hyperbole, you could always line up our combat wounded military and shoot them. Youll get rid of them a lot quicker that way ... :-) ...
Check back in with me by the end of October. We should be in the throes of full financial crisis by then.
We need to replace the weak leadership of McConnel and Boehner, I hope Ted Cruz wins, something tells me that if he does these bastards won’t be running the show anymore.
