Reid doesn’t (didn’t) get any Secret Service protection. That is only provided to Presidents, VP, candidates and foreign dignitaries + families.

He had a Capital Police security detail, he stated that they were the ones that transported him to the hospital.
The CP won’t release the Security Teams report on the incident,(a FOIA was requested)the CP chief resigned the other day.
Somethings a bit smelly here

You are correct. Normally, the law does not provide for protection of a Senate Majority Leader. But the President has the authority to direct protection to anyone who he deems requires it. Do we know that this was not the case with Harry?
