At this point, I understand how this prediction will be received. Its been common belief for some time that Hillary Clinton would headline the ticket. And theres ample reasoning to think that she will. So lets begin there.
First, shes got something that more than half of the field doesnt have. Namely, a pair of x chromosomes; shes a woman (and not the Bruce Jenner kind). As such, opposition to her ascendency to the highest seat of political power in America can immediately be panned as archaic fear among a misogynistic rabble of conservative men (and the crowing of millions of simple and unliberated conservative women that are subservient to them, no doubt) before any policy positions are considered. The Republican War on Women farce was established during the 2012 campaign season, and it was lapped up by the media to great effect. Theres no reason to think that her campaign would not enjoy a bit of immunity due to this preceding phenomenon.
Second, shes American royalty, so to speak. Ive had more than a few friends tell me that they dont know anyone who likes Jeb Bush for the Republican presidential ticket. Yet here we are, listening to possibility that hes a Republican frontrunner for no other reason than his pedigree. Similarly, Hillary hasnt done much worthy of note, and what she has done offers no signs that she would be a qualified leader of this country (more on this in a bit). But since lack of leadership experience, considering our current two-term president, is clearly not a deal-breaker for the Democrat voting bloc, sharing her husbands last name should carry a good bit of weight.
The first two reasons lead to the third reason that Hillary is the leading candidate for the Democratic ticket.

2.5 Billion dollars can buy a LOT of hysterical mainstream media support.
Obama could do a Ross Perot on her. Elizabeth Warren would be fit the bill and Obama could finance it.
So true. But she could still win the primary. I think she'd be easy enough to beat in the general election.
1. She’s butt-ugly
2 She’s the Bitch of Kosovo
3. She had Livingstone kill Vince Foster
(there’s even 4-4000 reasons, but she is a walking catastrophe for America as is the current illegal who eats, sleeps and sh*ts in the White Hut....when he’s around.)
Dislodging her from the tick will be a very costly exercise for those on the Dem side who wish to pursue such a move.
However I look forward to the world-shaking tantrum she would throw should this article’s prediction come to pass. She would suffer a mental breakdown and I am 87% serious.
She’d better lay off the Jack Daniels.
How long does it take to totally fumigate the White House between administrations????
I think the chance of her NOT being the nominee are very slim to none.
Average democrat VOTERS just LOVE Hillary. Why?? Because they still LOVE Bill. They have all these wonderful feelings of how great the 90’s were and after all these years of glorifying Hillary has made her something of a god to them.
They really CAN’T see anyone else they’d love as president.
btw...
Again - the AVERAGE democrat voter is COMPLETELY blind to Hillarys criminal and questionable actions. They see NOTHING but a ‘vast right-wing conspiracy’ who make up ALL these lies about her.
She will celebrate her 69th birthday less than a month before Election Day 2016. As such, that will make her some 15 to 20+ years older than most likely Republican candidates, namely Ted Cruz, Scott Walker and Rand Paul. Not sure how she will handle the questions on if her health at 69 is good enough for the Presidency, especially given how much of a physical and emotional grind the Presidency can be.
4. Hillary and her Campaign are both Pear Shaped ?
The Democrats need her because they don’t have a star bench. Hillary Clinton is the *star*.
And if she can’t keep the White House for them, they might as well go home.
She will be their nominee.

Wishful hinking
Warren may be calculating that she has a better chance if Hillary gets nominated and defeated in 2016—she would be the immediate frontrunner for 2020.
You can’t beat someone with no one. And so far she’s scared off her competition.
Unfortunately, I fear that in a presidential election, we are down to a numbers game and voter turnout. The issues do not matter that much regardless of the democratic candidate. There are more than 50% of the population that is dependent on government spending for at least part of their livelihood. This is not to say they are all bad people. But when you consider everyone from government employees, to vets, to retirees on pensions, up to and including the welfare familees and illegals that are now voting, we are simply outnumbered. If dems can get them to the polls, the democratic candidate will win.
I want to be wrong, believe me. But we sweep the congressional elections now regularly when voting turnout is traditionally lower. If we end up with a moderate to vote for and the base ho-hums turn out? Hillary could murder Bill and she’d still win.
There seem to be hatred between Barry and Bill. That could be a factor. It might be remote but anything can happen.
There have been 10 presidents taking office at 60+ years of age.
President Reagan being the oldest at 69 years, 349 days.
