Sens. McCain and Levin urged IRS to target Tea Party, conservative groups

Government documents obtained by a top "Inside the Beltway" watchdog group and released on Thursday reveal that Internal Revenue Service's Lois Lerner was strongly urged by Sen. Carl Levin, D-Michigan, and Sen. John McCain, R-Arizona, her assistance in attacking certain non-profit political groups. The organizations they selected for targeting by Lerner were part of the Tea Party and conservative movements.

Newly released documents revealed that Sen. Levin (left) and Sen. McCain both urged the IRS to target conservative groups in the wake of the Citizens United decision.

The group that investigates and exposes government corruption, Judicial Watch, released newly acquired IRS documents, including an email from Ms. Lerner in February 2012 requesting she “put together some training points to help them [IRS staffers] understand the potential pitfalls of revealing too much information to Congress."

Just now reading thru this
????
What other positions of power/intelligence has McCain had access?
Is there anything in his past that could be used to blackmail him ;-)
Was his winning the nomination and not the presidency a ruse?

Skeletons:
Someone went after his, shrillary, and 0’s passport records; maybe there’s something in mcslime’s passport docs that he wouldn’t want exposed.

Maybe something from his time in captivity?

Getting nominated but not winning:

There’s something fishy about that, it reminds me of Bush SR “throwing the fight”.

Plus that resolution on eligibility they did; shows there is indeed a ‘uniparty’

“The point is that McCain is a de facto democrat. If that upsets you, then you have good reason to be angry.”

My view is actually worse than yours. I think McCain is a mentally deranged individual, and he’s been that way his whole life. I think his time in North Vietnam only made it worse. There is seemingly, a mechanism within him to make every situation worse by reason of his involvement. When I was a kid, we called people like him $hit disturbers. People who got off simply as troublemakers.

Most probably Lindsey and McCain bond over their military service.

Just wondering if Sarah Palin will continue to support McCain or will back his challenger instead.

I looked at her credentials, some look attractive.

Wish she had some DC experience like in bureaucracy there or as representative prior to trying to become a US Senator.
DC will not be a kind to her.

Also, it appears some recent legislation she sponsored to take down speed cameras did not make it. That portends good ideas but poor behind-the-scenes work as she was outvoted. Anything you can relay on that?

Both parties are united in their hatred of Conservatives. Meanwhile a bunch of idiots here accuse us of “supporting Hillary” when we reject the Liberals within the Republican party.

Would somebody remind me again why I should vote for the nominee of the Republican Party?

So you can get screwed from both ends. If the Nominee is acceptable I’ll vote for them.

Hell No to Bush, Christy or any other “R” Liberal.

What’s that? I can’t hear you over the noise from the Republican Liberals performing fellatio on their friends across the aisle.

Screw Bush, Screw Christy, Screw any “progressive” regardless of party affiliation!

I never liked McCain, but I would never have guessed that he would stoop to this.

How long have you been sleeping? McCain, Graham, McConnell, Cornyn, etc... have been out to destroy Conservatives.

If they would go after the Democrats with half the fervor they expend on their on Conservative base they’d have a lock on every office!

It’s almost inconceivable that a longtime republican would do something like this.

The Conservative Contingent here on FR has been talking about the backstabbing GOPe at least since I signed up!

I was responding to Engraved-on-His-hands’ question.

Maybe if the GOPe stopped killing their own Conservative base we wouldn’t have Obama in office. They sure as hell won’t do anything about the overwhelming election fraud. They’re complicit in the IRS scandal.

You’re part of the problem Rocklobster, and waving the Obama/Hillary boogeyman at us won’t work anymore.

McCain, just as Cochran in Mississippi, uses democrat voters to crossover and vote in the republican primary assuring him the party nomination. In the general, Arizona’s republicans have no choice but to vote McCain over the democrat, if they vote at all.

That’s like saying “My daughter is about to get raped; she might as well lie back and try to enjoy it.”

Bull! The Arizona Republicans have a serious problem! They need to fix it!

THE POLITICIANS WORK FOR US!

Scare tactics are the only recourse the GOPe apologists have left, since their Party leadership seems systematically or morally unable to field viable and electable candidates for the Presidency. I hope and pray that Cruz makes it, but I fear what slimy, underhanded tactics Priebus and his flying monkeys will concoct to keep the Electoral votes out of his reach.
