(Reuters) A Pakistani court freed on bail on Friday Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi, accused of plotting a 2008 militant assault on Indias financial capital that killed 166 people and seriously strained ties between the nuclear-armed neighbours, his lawyer said.

I am guessing he is charged with an unrelated crime in Pock-ee-stahn.
I am also guessing that Pock-ee-stahn and India have no extradition agreement, since they pretty much hate each others' guts.

Why is a Pakistani court handling something that took place in India? That's was my first thought. Maybe since he was a planner he was never present in India and Pakistan handled his prosecution within Pakistan. No extradition, I guess.
