If sales keep at this level for not too much longer, GM may have to close the line. They must be burning through a lot of case at that level.

I am convinced (but don’t ask me for the evidence), that the government was buying Volts and parking them on some remote piece of federal land in New Mexico or Utah. If so, we (the taxpayers) bailed out the company, subsidized the production of the car, and bought them at full sticker price - to go directly to the scrap yard. This is what happens when a government takes over a company, and want to show you that it knows what it is doing.
