Wasn’t Harry also the basis for the corrupt Nevada Gaming Commissioner character in both the Godfather and Casino movies...?

Not the Godfather movie..Mo Greene I believed was slightly based on Ben "Bugsy" Segal and the corrupt Senator in Godfather II was well before dingy harry showed up in the Senate in the mid 80's..however, I believe the Dick Smothers character in Casino was harry..sure did act like the weasel that reid is..

In “Casino” the corrupt gaming official character had the initials “H.R.” and was played by Tom Smothers. You connect the dots. Most of the main characters in the movies were accurately based on real people like Tony Spilotro, Lefty Rosenthal, Alan Glick. The “pain in the ass” real estate lady who was wacked in her house was Tamara Rand in San Diego. That is still an “unsolved murder”.
