I blame Congress more than Obama.

Congress alone has not only the power but the duty to save our nation.

But somehow they believe they are not on the same plane (literally and figuratively) as the rest of us, and will be safe. Being concerned only for self and not for our nation, they do nothing.

Too late they will realize that they also are on the same flight - and that being in First Class will not save them.

The GOP leadership is not even so much as banging on the cockpit doors demanding Obama open up after handing him the controls and letting themselves out.

Instead they are threatening to silence and shut up We Passengers for screaming about the plunge of the state into the up rushing mountains ahead.

<>Congress alone has not only the power but the duty to save our nation.<>

The 17th Amendment rendered the senate institutionally incapable of doing its duty.

Three term congressmen, aka senators, respond to public pressure like their single term brethren. They avoid public controversy in general, and anything in particular that might threaten their reelection.

It is up to us, through our state legislatures to reclaim the republic.

Article V. There is no alternative.
