The State Police train in a building near me. I have wandered up to that building and been chased away on numerous occasions. They definitely don't want anyone observing their training. I wonder why?

As our population becomes unmoored from the constitution, and universal moral principles, there will be fewer objections to unethical, illegal and immoral actions and orders by the authorities.

They will do it. At first it would be chosen units who are "reliable." They are being trained to it. Soldiers won't be sent into their own communities. The Soviets showed the way on this, sending Asian troops in to snuff out the sparks in Hungary and Czechoslovakia and, ultimately, yes, the soldiers would not fire on their own but that was only after the winds had changed overall and the troops had become infected with the new attitudes at the end of the Empire. But we are not part of a disintegrating totalitarian empire, we are in a domestically consolidating totalist system.
