This Fox series will probably be interesting and entertaining to some. To others, rather than watch the programming and judge it on it's merits, they will stay away from it simply because they don't like the executive producer. Many people may be surprised that most of what is on TV and in the theaters nowadays, are produced by people who they may not agree with or like. To me that is not a reason, to preempt watching the show or movie to see if it is informative and entertaining . After all, this stuff is just entertainment, not life or death.
And there is a similar concept in play in the management behind many manufacturing concerns. Not buying a quality product because of who the CEO or CFO is, is not always good decision-making. I used to say I was going stop buying foreign-manufactured products and only buy good old "Made in USA" ones. But it didn't take long to realize that there weren't many products still made in the US. If I excluded "Made in China" from my purchasing decisions, it would be hard to find many products needed in my life.
I know what an executive producer is. Do you really think that people who gamble with their money to finance these projects have no say in the content? Sorry, but I’m not naive enough to believe that the arrogant bloviator, Bill O’Reilly will keep his mouth shut or fingers off what will be in the final episodes of this series. And like a lot of people on FR, I don’t believe “he’s got the history part down” like you do.
He’s got the history part down.
