Well said. I traveled to Maine for the caucuses in February 2012. After a long process, with many irregularities, delegates were elected to the convention. Those delegates were not seated at the Convention, vetoed by Romney, Inc. ...

Candidates should be asked to pledge to support this rule change: "Any requirements for prior proof of support for a presidential candidate should affect only the determination of which candidates may be presented to the convention by formal nominating speeches."

Yep, Malkin covered this live as it happened. Boehner and Team Romney rigged the convention so that the GOP-E could select the nominee in 2016.

And we expected something different from the uniparty? Our elections have only slightly less certainty than an election held in stalin era russia.

Define all his supporters then as Reaganites and all other Republicans as non-Reaganites.

This time it will be Cruzers, and all other Republicans as non-Cruzers

well, does anybody remember the last Whig candidate as opposed to the first Republican? Because I kind of see history repeating itself here

Concern trolls gotta be concerned.

If they want to follow stupid rules to make sure a conservative isn't the nominee, then conservatives won't vote for the establishment candidate. It's that simple. Ignore the base and lose.

I don't see conservatives getting steam rolled again like they have before. Too much anger this time.

I sure won't vote for a liberal. Especially a liberal Republican.

Liberal Republicans must be politically destroyed. I'm donating time, effort, and money to make that happen.

I think a lot has changed in the year since this was written. The conservative base is waking up like an angry bear in springtime. Cruz is playing very strategically by rolling up support early from a huge constituency that could get him numerical support and a huge amount of money—Evangelicals. He has a clear advantage over all the other candidates in this.

Where necessary, conservatives and delegates should ignore the stupid rules, show up at the convention with a plan, and make trouble. They could turn a prissy, control-freak convention upside-down in no time.

>>The establishment candidate will almost certainly be Jeb Bush or Chris Christie. <<

And once more, the establishment will lose; maybe by such a margin as to destroy them.

Romney was awarded states and delegates he did not win, when the resulting complaints came in they responded by changing the rules and thumbing their noses at us.
Basically stating “WE know who your candidate should be better than YOU!”
It worked so well, as all can see.

In Tampa, the Romney campaign changed that requirement. Currently, a 2016 presidential candidate will have to have the support of a majority of the delegates from at least eight states.

Willard was so paranoid...

He had the ugly loosing specter of Big Daddy George Romney in 1964 hanging over his head,,

In the battle on the convention floor that year Daddy only got 41 votes while Barry Goldwater, the hated friend of the hated Ronald Reagan, got 800 and the nomination,,

Teenager Willard sheepishly trotted out of the building behind the exploding with anger back of the stomping George who went and helped Johnson win reelection that year...

Willard would twist any rule to give him an edge, even shut out Governor Sarah Palin and the Conservatives and Ron Paul as he did..

Plus there was ORCA the miserable failing computer system that Willard spent tens of millions of the donors money on..

Willard’s golden hand was less than brass in 2012...

Willard has only himself to blame for losing in both 2008 and 2012 just as in 1994.....

Maybe he should have used Reagan’s playbook...honesty, integrity, patriotism, Conservatism..

I will NOT vote ever again for a Republican that is not a proven conservative. No voting anymore for the lesser of two evils. I will not vote for Prez but will leave it blank and then vote down ballot for my choice.

Bushy, Romney, Rovey and all the rest of the GOP-e can kma from now on.

The late, great Lawrence Auster covered the subject of how, and why, liberals hate democratic processes in this post.

As the GOPe is more out and proud (in the liberal sense), it explains how they will approach the 2016 nomination, and why.
