Thank you for referencing that article E. Pluribus Unum. Please bear in mind that the following critique is directed at the article and not at you.

What a constitutionally ignorant flip-flop on Indiana's religious freedom law by state lawmakers!

Noting that the states have never amended the Constitution to expressly protect gay agenda issues, Christians need to quickly get up to speed on the following. They need to study the Constitution, particulary Section 1 of the 14th Amendment, in order to protect their constitutional rights from the “Keystone Kops” leaders of their state since their leaders have evidently have not studied the Constitution which they have sworn to protect and defend.

The knee-jerk reaction of low-information state lawmakers to gay bullying concerning Indiana’s religious freedom law is that the law is now arguably in violation of Section 1 of the 14th Amendment.

Section 1 prohibits the states from making laws which unreasonably abridge the constitutionally enumerated rights of citizens, the 1st Amendment-protected freedom of religious expression in this case.

14th Amendment, Section 1:

All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States [emphasis added]; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.

Note that the “privileges or immunities” term which John Bingham, the main author of Section 1, used in that section is just another way to refer to constitutionally enumerated rights, most of these well-known rights, including 1st Amendment-protected freedom of religious expression, listed in the Bill of Rights.

If the low-information leaders of Indiana are an example of what’s going on in other state governments, it’s no wonder that the states lost control of the constitutionally limited power federal government.

So in trying to fix a law that was poorly thought out to begin with they are going to make it worse? And remove the reason for the original law while they’re at it? Why am I not surprised?

Here’s how this nonsense works:
I own some beautiful property that would make a wonderful wedding venue in an area that has a shortage of them.

I have been considering making it a wedding venue for several years. This latest business has taken “wedding venue” off of my list of possible uses of the property. I am also removing any kind of overnight hospitality options as well.

Great move Nazis - because there will be fewer options overall, there will be fewer for you guys.
