Federal officials say six people have been charged in connection with home-invasion robberies that targeted victims of Indian and Asian ancestry. Some of those violent robberies took place in faraway Michigan. Others were close to home — in Flower Mound, Southlake, Allen and Coppell.
According to the indictment provided today by the U.S. Attorney’s Office all six of the indicted are from Texas. Among their ranks is a 19-year-old woman arrested by Flower Mound police in early December, when police say Johnisha Ann-Marie Williams knocked on a family’s door and helped three armed men enter a house along the 5600 block of Suncrest Drive. Two of the three men were also arrested at the time: 34-year-old Juan Fernando Olaya and 19-year-old Rodney Ray Granger.
Three others are also in custody in connection with the string of home invasions: 40-year-old Chaka LeChar Castro, 22-year-old Octavius Scott and 21-year-old Jakeyra Augustus.

There are other reasons why they keep a cash cache somewhere other than illegal purposes like tax evasion.
The indictment doesn’t mention their alleged involvement in similar home-invasion robberies that took place in New Jersey in October.
Residents say the armed robberies have occurred for a decade timed around the Hindu holiday of Diwali, when gold jewelry is frequently given as a gift.
“But I think there is also a stereotype that needs to be put to rest, that Indian homes keep a lot of cash or gold – simply not true,” Poondi said.
As of Monday, the suspects were all still being held in Texas. If found guilty, they could spend up to 40 years behind bars.
Carey said members of the highly organized burglary crew could still be on the loose.
people from India, etc tend to be more trusting of the other minorities, thinking that they themselves won’t be targeted....but, they are wrong...
sorry to say this, but there is one very violent minority and the other minorities better be prepared to join the majority or at least start protecting themselves better....

Smart of them, go after Asians and Engines, as they’re much less likely to own guns.
