According to Kevin Spacey, his friend Bill Clinton says 99 percent of whats seen on House of Cards is true.
As the star of Netflixs political thriller, Spacey plays the corrupt and conniving President Frank Underwood. Spacey, who counts former President Clinton among his pals, tells Gotham magazine, while doing his best Clinton impression, Kevin, 99 percent of what you do on that show is real.
Continuing with his impersonation of the 42nd president, Spacey says, as Clinton, that theres one aspect of the show thats pure fiction. The 1 percent you get wrong is you could never get an education bill passed that fast.
Clinton isnt the only president whos professed his love of House of Cards. President Obama quipped in 2013 that he wished things in real-life Washington were as ruthlessly efficient as on the show.

Right, then. You lot have made Me so curious I’m switching browsers and downloading at least the first two episodes to see if it is indeed better than I first winceingly anticipated...
If I get Rickto-fied, I’m going to be upset, however. :)
It’s a brilliant expression of pure evil and dead souls.
I watched a few episodes and then turned it off. When I get the idea I’d like to watch it again, I go to the park and watch a dog take a sh*t - it’s cleaner.
It is the awesomest show.
I just need to clear a weekend and a jar of popcorn.
Love that show
I was thinking Babylon 5, Fringe, X-Files, Star Trek Next Generation... Love 'em all.
House of Cards? well, I love that too.
Considering your previous selections... You're confusing Me now.
Excellent. ..
It’s a great show, and there’s really no one on either side painted as positive or uncorrupted. The only character I felt any sympathy for is the old man that owns a run-down bbq restaurant the main character frequents to get away from everything.
I guess he'd rather put his his own party in a poor light than suffer the indignity of playing a Republican.

I bet you do, you little fascist queen.
It’s on my “to watch” list. But
i read the other day it is the most popular TV show in Iran.
Right, then; so how different is this from the other Political Portrayals In Real Life such as “West Wing” (”East” Wing?), and “Madam Secretary”?
By the way, I hate that My favourite actress is involved in that last one since it seems to be a pro-socialist programme, unfortunately. :(
I just bet he did. Including the murders. If only we could interview Vince Foster and hear how uncanny the show is from his perspective...
Madam Secretary doesn’t seem partisan to me.
West Wing? Never watched it, solely because Sheen was in it .
The one false thing is Kevin Spacey having sex with a female.
“Wow. I’ve never had any interest in checking out House of Cards. However, it sounds like must see TV from the way you describe it! “
On top of that, the Third Season has been panned by the critics, but I watched it anyway. Seems that the DEMOCRATS in Congress are working with Republicans to IMPEACH the (Democrat) President due to abuse of power, rather than cover for him. Makes sense that the critics would have a problem with the show now.
Makes you wonder, don't it?
Wow.
The series sure has the ring of truth about it. It turns out that the writer, Beau Willimon, worked for the campaigns of three Democrats, Schumer, Dean and Hillary.
