ENGLEWOOD, Fla. That massive alligator is back on a golf course, and he appears to be hungry. Myakka Pines Golf Club in Englewood posted photos of the gator the staff calls Goliath (good name for him) on the golf courses Facebook page. This time, the big guy is apparently in the process of devouring a turtle.

Gated community? I’d be ashamed to admit it, may as well be a yankee liberal.
Go Gators!
Thanks! In the first picture it looked rather more Jurassic Park sized:
That does not mean we should kill wild critters indiscriminately. But it does mean it's not their place just because they got there first. And when it's a case of them or us, I say we take care of us.
I am betting Goliath would just snack on that cat
That gator isn’t a threat to anyone other than idiots. The traffic on the road to the golf course is what you need to worry about.
“I had read that gators eat golf balls because it helps their digestion.”
I’m thinking it would hurt like heck coming out.
Just out of curiosity, what do the official golf rules stipulate about that kind of putt?
There are no places on earth where one species has a preferred presence over over humans. If we can make a home of it, it's our place. Other species come secondary.
It seems swallowing live animals completely WHOLE (bones and all) doesn't seem to bother them on the exit end.

Stomach acid dissolves bones. Remember the guy with the monkey who comes into the bar? The monkey takes a maraschino cherry and jams it up its butt. He then eats the cherry. It’s because last time he swallowed a Q ball. Now he checks everything for fit.
Drop the golf ball in a bottle of Coke. Or a penny.
Then remember that your stomach acids are much, much stronger.
