Two Saudi pilots ejected over the Red Sea on Friday after their fighter plane suffered a technical problem and were rescued with US assistance, state media said.
"A plane of the F-15S type was stricken by a technical fault yesterday evening over the Red Sea and the two pilots were forced to use their rescue seats," state news agency SPA quoted a defense ministry official saying.

when I was in the AF a buddy who had helped train Iranian pilots in the US, told us how one time a couple of Iranians ran out of fuel in their T-38 trainer and had to eject....
I guess this is part of the Yemen campaign.
Am I wrong? I thought the Saudi military was all smoke and mirrors and looking impressive and going through the motions. The Saudis paid others to actually do the fighting.
The new king is called the war king. I think this is his first act assuming the throne. We only thought the ME was interesting... Now it gets downright scary. His second act was to say they might pursue nukes to counterbalance Iran. So this will either work in balancing everything, or someone is going to pull the trigger.
If Iran and Saudi both have nukes the area will be on a hair trigger.
We had about 30 minutes warning time during the Cold War. The flight time for a missile between these loons is about 2-3 minutes.
