The writer may have spelled DE-volving incorrectly. Then again, it truly is becoming more common to see teenagers and young men close to seven feet tall. Most of them are in proportion too, not overly obese. I’m talking about people you may see in the grocery store, not on a TV basketball game. Most these supersized kids are black or white, with latinos and second generation-asians not far behind. I say it’s due to growth hormones in the meats and milk products.
I agree.... Something is going on and it’s not just in our food.
People ate food they grew or killed for thousands of years.
Now it comes out of squirt tubes or other containers and is filled with soy-fructose-corn byproduct + chemicals that is bound to eventually have some effect on the human body if it consumes enough of this garbage.
People used to have to play games face to face with each other, read books...classics, the bible. Now there is so much trash information available it is bound to eventually have some effect on the mind that consumes enough of this garbage.
Yes we are a changing and I’m not thinking so much for the good.
I haven’t noticed these giants in the central TX area- where are you seeing these seven foot critters?
I made a trip to Amsterdam a couple of years ago. One of the places that I hit on the city tour was the Rembrandt house. It came into existence around the 1630s. It’s an odd structure...ceilings are exceptionally low, and the doorwalls are a good six inches lower than what you are accustomed to. This came up in the tour conversation.
Oddly....people were shorter in this period. Since the 1800s....houses in Europe have had a higher ceiling and doorway. Reason? The only logical reason is that people are getting taller...through diet and changes in the body.
You can avoid the evolution of this...until you see the room and envision people are mostly all mostly a couple inches shorter than six foot on the normal scale. Then you start to ask questions. They did this without modern science, hormones or drugs.
My humble guess is that in 200 years...ceilings and doorways will be another couple of inches higher than today.
