Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, the U.S. soldier who was recovered in Afghanistan last spring after five years in captivity, faces charges of desertion and misbehavior before the enemy, according to his lawyer.

Desertion in time of war is punishable by firing squad. What is this 5 year sentence nonsense I’m hearing. And he also collaborated with the enemy, which is treason.
Stonewall Jackson would have had him shot and no telling what punishment Patton would have had up his sleeve for the traitor. Now that’s a scary thought.
Not to suggest execution would be considered.
Not till after a conviction. I hope they withhold his back pay, $300m plus, till the issue is resolved.
Yes, ie Richard Nixon. Several Iran contra related Reagan administration officials.
Thanks, I had forgotten that no charges had been filed in those cases.
I listened to a colonel read the charges, and the ‘misbehavior’ piece had a clause explaining the behavior as causing risk to a unit, place, etc. That seems to fit the manual of courts martial sections (2) and/or (3).
These charges should include some recognition of those killed/injured as a result of Bergdahl’s desertion.
In that case, capital punishment should be on the table, but like you said, all the talking heads are saying it is off the table.
>> TALL TREE.... Short Rope!!
Who’s next, one of the exchanged terrorists from Gitmo?
Yes and we dont need to wait until weve recaptured the lot of them...
“This maggot got guys (US Army) killed!!! “
You get extra credit for that in this administration.
“He served with honor and distinction.” Susan Rice.
Problem is...Susan Rice probably meant exactly that, even given that he deserted and collaborated.
This was known when they made the deal for the Taliban commanding generals.
To these a**hats, that is what they think of.
Obama and those he has appointed are the worst sort of ant-American, anti-constitution, individuals imaginable. They themselves consort with the enemy (as is obvious from the Bergdahl deal, the deal they are currently negotiating with the Iranians, Benghazi, etc., etc. ad nausium).
This shows some of the torture he endured. The earrings he was promised to go with his dancing boy hat were never delivered. They were simply unbearable teases.
