I wonder as well and you did ask a good question, for the last I checked regardless of skin color if you a citizen here you are an American, and as the United States of America we are under no obligation to celebrate other nationalities and nor am I interested in it, we are a melting pot, not an internationalist society, man have schools gone down the crapper since I graduated in 2004.

What other “nationalities”? A bunch of illegal aliens and muslims?

This is odd. Is the Administration at this school admitting that they have students who are in this country illegally? If they are not, then they ARE Americans. Save all the touchy-feely BS and equivocating for some other ethnic diversity celebration.
An American Pride dance is not an event to promote ethnic diversity.

Lexington MA is known as “The Birthplace of American History”. The principal should be fired for this assault on the town’s historical heritage.

"[in] the United States of America we are under no obligation to celebrate other nationalities and nor am I interested in it, we are a melting pot, not an internationalist society, man have schools gone down the crapper since I graduated in 2004."
To me the "melting pot" means that we share a common national language (English), that people of all national origins are equal citizens, and that - eventually, if not immediately upon arrival - people for the most part do not live in segregated ethnic communities, but are dispersed among the general population.
Having said that, I have no problem whatsoever with ethnic festivals - St. Patrick's Day, my local Greek festival, Indian pow-wows and so forth. But I oppose the recent trend to provide - or even require - multi-lingual signage (usually Spanish), government documents, and so forth. I think a minimal proficiency in English should be mandatory for citizenship.
