You’re forgetting that liberals CANNOT UNDERSTAND ANALOGIES. (Which is another way of saying that liberals cannot think, because ALL human thought is analogical.)
If you say that changing the deadline for ratification of the ERA was like moving the goalpost in a football game, the liberal’s answer will be: “We’re talking about the ERA! Why are you talking about football? We weren’t talking about football! Why are you changing the subject?” Etc.
This is good and should be used a LOT!
And if they counter by saying that they only oppose him because of what he stands for, say “Checkmate”.
