Republican Senator Ted Cruz plans to announce on Monday that he will run for president in 2016, the Houston Chronicle reported on its website.
The newspaper, citing senior advisers to the Texas senator who spoke on condition of anonymity, reported that Cruz would launch a presidential bid outright rather than the traditional path of forming an exploratory committee.

Not true. Exit polls showed that Obama Care was the NUMBER ONE issue on the minds of voters -and that with none of the Washington Republicans talking about it. That was the delightful prop wash of the Cruz filibuster.
But even if you don’t want to admit that, the notion that he was costing them the elections was just absurd. It was at the time, and it was on election day.
good post.
It is going to be refreshing to hear him speak, and to slap down assorted pop up liberal mouth pieces.
Please save that post as a proper and only response to comparing no to Cruz
Esp when saying Cruz can’t get into the wh because senators never can all except Obama ( no mention of Kennedy ever )
Okay good - misread your other post apparently....sorry bout that...
From what I’m finding in a google search, lo these many months later, the economy was the top issue and something like 83% made up their minds in the final days how to vote. When asked specifically about the healthcare law a majority said they thought the law went to far, but that has been the case since the day it passed and wasn’t what brought people out to vote since it lumped together WITH Ebola still wasn’t the top issue.
I’ve got my check book ready for Monday.
I’m sorry, you are not analyzing this right. Ebola? Really? 83% made up their minds late? Not on this planet.
I understand what you’re saying. But people think that Barky has done so bad because he is a one term senator, and didn’t have enough experience going into the job of President. In reality I think every move that Barky has made has been on purpose to destroy our country. And the reason is because Barky is a muslim plant, and hates our country.
The fact that Ted Cruz is a one term senator has no bearing on how good of a job he will do. Ted loves his country, and will do everything in his power to defend the Constitution, and to help the country grow and prosper.
Argue with the exit polls.
I’m on board! This primary season is going to blow the dems and rinos out of the water!
you are the one arguing with the exit polls. Your research is flawed. I lived the elections. It’s part of my career. I followed it hour by hour during the entire process for months.
No, check the polls and you will I am right.
Go check the polls, as I said its a simple matter of a google search, the main thing people were saying at the time was the economy, I checked multiple sources. They may have been polled as part of the questionaire about their feelings on the health law, but as I stated public opinion has been underwater from the get go on that. In short you are mistaken if you believe that Ted Cruz swung the election. Now Cruz is a fine fellow and a phenomenal speaker who has borne more than his fair share of abuse, but at the moment the guy is pulling in 4% among Republicans.
That’s weird, I must have messed this one up, sorry about that :(
Your research is so flawed - the idea that 83% of voters were late deciders? In a mid term? Surely even you know how absurd that is. The sources you had were either flawed, or you don’t know how to read polls.
You shouldn't try this at home. He may be at 4% among all Republicans, but among those who most closely follow the process, he's at 10X that much. As the campaign unfolds, more and more Republicans will be involved in the process. The most educated voters prefer him. As others get educated, they'll reach the same conclusion.
Well with enthusiastic support like yours, he clearly is ahead of the game in some respects :)
WSJ if memory serves, take it up with them. The economy being #1 came from multiple sources however.
And it’s how the Cruz detractors here operate.
Zero facts. Heavy innuendo:
from the liberal, “Daily Beast”:
By announcing Monday, Cruz becomes the first Republican candidate formally running for his partys presidential nominationallowing him a couple weeks of peerless press and fundraising.
It is hard to imagine this as an accident.
Cruzs campaign strategy, at least in its early stages, has been meticulously planned. Indeed, very little in Cruzworld happens by accident.
