Republican Senator Ted Cruz plans to announce on Monday that he will run for president in 2016, the Houston Chronicle reported on its website.
The newspaper, citing senior advisers to the Texas senator who spoke on condition of anonymity, reported that Cruz would launch a presidential bid outright rather than the traditional path of forming an exploratory committee.

Don’t be looking at our myopic elites for strategic vision, I think the mid-terms had far more to do with that lunatic nurse and clueless pronouncements by the administration on Americans not being at risk for Ebola than Ted Cruz.
Cruz is definently a David against Goliath, but the thing about David is that he hit the right spot and brought down his foe. I’m not saying it’s fair, I’m not saying given a level playing field that Cruz couldn’t prevail, “fair” is not what this is about, it’s about being able to stack the odds in your favor using what you’ve got to work with.
Probably his best thing is grace under pressure with being able to laugh in the face of adversity. That puts him far ahead of most people, thing is I don’t think thats enough. The office of the President of the United States is not something within the skill set of most people, you and I included.
I hope the Gohconservative PAC will give funds to the real conservative candidate for president.

A local affiliate here in soviet Red Hampshire just ran a taped interview with Ted Cruz...I thought I was listening to Reagan. Cruz was on his game...it was VERY good. Hopefully, it will pop up on the net somewhere today...
Mr. Walker, a good man, has the charisma of a store mannikin. Cruz is full of fire and vinegar.
We desperately need a staunch conservative who understands the constitution.
Christie, Walker, Graham, Rubio, Bush and the like will only keep us in the center/leaning left of center.
We've not had a conservative since Ronald Reagan. I pray the country will see the need.
Heck, Cruz WILL win Texas hands down. It's other states I worry about. Decades of liberalism, illegal/legal immigration has watered down the electorate.
I work with a bunch-a Indian fellas. Some are eligible to vote. Liberal liberal liberal. They come from a society that has government dictate everything. I've questioned them on certain things before.
Very surprising the comments. One older guy (which I really like), said to me, “Sometimes I believe America has too much freedom”. Others believe it is the gubbamints responsibility to keep you safe...seatbelts, ban guns and on and on.
Yet he got a lower percentage of the 2012 Texas vote than Mediocre Mitt.
Makes me think of an Indira Gandhi story.
Mrs. Ghandi went to a village and was challenged. Her opponent had been there before and said many things that were just the opposite of what Gandhi was saying. Indira told them they should decide and vote for who they thought was telling the truth. The villagers told her that no, it was the government’s job to stop people from coming around and lying to them.
Cruz is one of the best debaters in the world. He has great oratory abilities, rhetoric, and a knack for nuances. It will be fun to see him against Jeb and Linsey.
I think Cruz talks well and what he says is appealing. I for one however think we need to be very careful before endorsing Legislators/Senators/Lawyers who have no executive experience either in private industry or Government. We have had that experience with the current occupant of the White House. I haven’t jumped on the bandwagon of any single candidate yet, but I would like to see a Conservative Governor with a proven track record of accomplishments. Cruz just doesn’t have those credentials.

Yeaaaa! I wish he would come out with a VP pick and a full cabinet announcement.
He doesn’t need any more than what he is seeing on his trips around the country. I’m sure he can see his following very clearly and he IS the one for the job. We must help him in any way we can because its going to take a strong leader to correct all the stupid stuff that has been going on for the past 6 years.
We don’t want or need any wishy washey wanna bes trying to resolve the damage done to this great country.

Well, since no one else wants to address your first point, let me throw in my take. Ted Cruz is a done nothing bomb thrower who has no chance of winning the primary, let alone a general election. He has as little, if not less, real world experience as Obama did, and his time in the thumb-twiddling, navel-contemplating Senate has been every bit productive as Obama’s.
So it’s impossible to quarrel with your first point. That’s probably why it went by without anyone trying to challenge it.
Too many candidates do care what "the media" puts out, and are suckered into heeling for them.
It might be because it's a comparison between Obama and Cruz.

Just enter into a casual conversation with them, not confrontational and ask them questions regarding their childhood and so forth. Many had servants, grew up privileged and they look down on the lower society.
Had one young fella show up in our department. Still had pimples on his face...lil whipper snapper.
He sezz to me, You! go get me a torch! I laughed and said...what's a torch. He meant flashlight. So, not being confrontational...I went to get him a flashlight.
Then he sezz to me, Go get me screwdriver!
Ok...now it's on. I said, “go get your own F’n screwdriver, I'm not your servant”.
After that day, we became friends. Pickin at each other and so forth. The lil Indian fella just needed a lil learnin bout how things are done here in America. lol
Once I guess he saw me walking to my truck in the parking garage. I chirp chirp...hop in. Next thing I know, my passenger side door flies open and this youngin jumps in my truck as a joke, sits there with this big ol smile on his face.
I said, “Wick...his name was Vick, but I called him Wick as a ongoing joke cause he couldn't pronounce his V's..they were always Wha wha....Wick. So, Wick and I had yet another learning opportunity here with him sitting in my truck, unexpected, in Texas, in a farm truck...in Texas...anyone want to guess the lesson?
