Chinese Jews are not a joke. Some date back to the Persian period of Jewish history (Silk Road goes to China). Some from Russia and Europe in more recent times, as refugees from Stalin and Hitler.

And some, no doubt, from all the Chinese food American Jewish women love to consume, by the ton...

The Jewish community of Kaifeng dates back a long way....many scholars place their arrival in China to the time of the Northern Song Dynasty (960–1127), though some date their arrival to the Tang Dynasty (618-907) or earlier...
