The US must release photographs showing abuse of detainees in Iraq and Afghanistan, a federal judge has ruled in a long-running clash over letting the world see potentially disturbing images of how the military treated prisoners.
US district judge Alvin Hellerstein’s ruling Friday gives the government, which has fought the case for over a decade, two months to decide whether to appeal before the photos could be released. The American Civil Liberties Union has been seeking to make them public in the name of holding government accountable.

I don’t believe we should have taken any prisoners. We should have dumb bombed them to death.
Of course they will.
But ALSO release photos of what I SAW on the ground next to the North Tower of the WTC around 9:30am on 9/11/2001: smashed bodies, body parts, heads, arms, legs even an EYEBALL. It was a horror I still have nightmares about. And it is a hell of a lot worse than a dog "threatening" a naked terrorist who helped make those body parts I saw happen. The media and Bushies conspired after the attack to hide even photos of the jumpers from the American people, out of fear we would burn down mosques. And most people have still never seen them. NO ONE has even seen photos of what I saw. And I know there were photos taken.
The left must keep ginning up moral outrage to hang around America’s neck, especially in election years. Their kabuki of the OWS movement didn’t last long enough, and now the Ferguson kabuki is winding down too early for their agenda. This Abu Ghraib is sure to be just one volley coming our way, and they’ll do their best to keep it front and center, and in our faces, for as long as possible. They don’t care if jihadi psychos can use it as another convenient excuse for murdering Americans. In fact, they welcome that outcome.
Just like the pictures of Abu Graib were used to incite the Islamists against America. These guys are traitors!
If they didn’t cut their heads off or set them on fire I fail to see the big deal.
