(CNSNews.com) -- An illegal alien and known gang member who has been charged with first-degree murder in North Carolina was granted deferred deportation under President Barack Obamas Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals Program (DACA), despite having been placed in removal proceedings for drug charges in 2012, according to a press release from Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) and Sen. Thom Tillis (R-N.C.).

Emmanuel Jesus Rangel-Hernandez, 19, was charged in February with three counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of three people in Charlotte, N.C, including a 19-year-old former Americas Next Top Model contestant, Mirjana Puhar, the Associated Press reported.
According to an arrest affidavit from March 30, 2012, Rangel-Hernandez had been previously charged with possession of marijuana. But a court order dated Dec. 18, 2013 shows U.S. Immigration Judge Theresa Holmes-Simmons granted deferred action under DACA to Rangel-Hernandez, who had been in removal proceedings since his drug charge.
Records indicate Rangel-Hernandez was placed in the removal process by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) following drug charges in March 2012, but removal proceedings were dismissed on December 18, 2013, because he was approved for deferred action under DACA, Grassley and Tillis stated in the press release.

"President Obamas new amnesty program will also include Deferred Action for Parents of Americans and Legal Permanent Residents (DAPA), which will grant deferred action to as many as 5 million illegal aliens while granting them the right to work, Social Security numbers and benefits and retroactive tax credits."
More of the Wealth of Diversity from the 3rd world.
Jeb Bush would approve.
Obama lies while Americans die.
Yep. Barky has established a whole new level of bad for American presidents to be gauged against.
Amnesty involves criminals being let into the country for sure but it also involves the cheapening of our labor force.
Republican Senators Grassley and Tillis, who get money from special interests that want Amnesty, can make noise about criminals but can they support a total reversal of Amnesty with no H1B visas to bring in cheap labor either.
I suspect this criminal issue, bad as it is, is just an emotional diversion from two business as usual politicians who ultimately support Amnesty as a means of helping provide cheap labor for special interests including ag business in Iowa where Grassley is from.
Simply more proof of the blood this POS Kenyan has on his hands.
Somewhere there is probably a Syrian Christian, or a Chinese entrepreneur, or a French surgeon who is trying to legally become a U.S. citizen and contribute something positive to the country, who has been hassled and delayed by the U. S. Immigration department. But a Mexican drug gangster with an extensive criminal history in his home country? Obama rolls out the red carpet for such a wonderful “dreamer” and is eager to give him welfare, Social Security benefits, free health care, and a voter ID card.
When you mix lawyers, politicians and liberalism together you produce a deadly concoction. The simple becomes complex. When a person enters our country illegally he immediately becomes a criminal. When that person is apprehended, for whatever reason, commonsense would dictate that he be immediately sent back to his home country. Simple, right? Wrong. The deadly concoction produces a convoluted logic that creates complexity and says the apprehended criminal must be released back onto our streets. Commonsense and reason have been discarded. And Americans suffer and die as a result of the deadly concoction.
