"We don't intend to turn the Republican Party over to the traitors in the battle just ended. We will have no more of those candidates who are pledged to the same goals as our opposition and who seek our support. Turning the Party over to the so-called moderates wouldnt make any sense at all." -- President Ronald Reagan |

Ok, I will be the smart a$$ and say why not abolish it everywhere, not just in New Hampshire. 😄😃😀😊

Cruz is my top choice. I trust both him and Walker of taxation and spending issues. I trust Cruz on Amnesty, but Walker worries me. I trust both on international relations.
On the flip side, we have Jeb Bush, Cristie, Romney, Rubio, and other RINOs whom I don’t trust at all (except Bush who has promised to betray America on almost every issue, and I’m firmly convinced he is truthful).

If Cruz wants the IRS liquidated, it’ll be up to the states to unilaterally nullify it.

I fed the numbers into the supercomputer here at the World Headquarters and Bunker Compound, and came up with a 0.013467% chance the IRS will be abolished by Cruz, or anyone.

Why give the IRS any dumb idea? They already have enough of their own. I can see this postcard now.
How much did you earn this year?
Send it to us.

I’m for liquidating them ANYWHERE. But New Hampshire will do.

Cruz is really rolling. He is right on. I’m hoping we have a winner.
To: SoConPubbie
What good would liquidating them in New Hampshire do?
They’d still be in the remaining 56 states...
Still, it’s a start.

I support tax reform, but don’t support the flat tax. Every flat tax proposal I’ve seen would significantly increase my taxes, and my income is only about $65,000 a year.

Flat tax hasn’t worked out in Pennsylvania, which (under Republican leadership, no less) has come up with a bazillion other taxes and fees to deal with the situation.

Simple enough to do on a postcard might be feasible for someone whose only income is from wages, interest, dividends and capital gains. Unless the government is going to trust a single number for revenue and a single number for costs, it becomes absurd for the self-employed.
Personally, I’d favor repealing the 16th Amendment and replacing the income tax completely with a VAT. (But no way in hell would I support introducing a VAT with the 16th Amendment still in place.)
