I have to wonder if the model is going to be *mostly* automated driving but with a human there as backup. How are you going to account for that 0.00000000001% case that the software either doesn’t recognize or has a software defect that causes it to do the wrong thing? Also what about any sort of off road driving?
I’m not sure how this will pan out.
In some ways, I see robotic cars as the ultimate public transit system, since it defeats the argument of inconvenience and schedule freedom, but would allow a network to regulate traffic.
Not that I think this would be a good thing.
