Maurice Strong, the guy who was instrumental in writing UN Agenda 21, started his career trying to get a monopoly on water rights in Colorado so he could sell water. He lost in court and had to pay on the $3.1-million damages.
He also was involved in some financial shenanigans at the United Nations involving Food for Oil.
He moved to Beijing before he could be indicted, evidently.

IIRC, Maurice, Algore, and a few others stood to make trillions from the cap-and-trade scheme on the Carbon Credit exchanges. I’m glad that hasn’t panned out for them...
