Today is the most magical day of the year: Pi Day.
It's also the most magical year of the century: Pi Year.
That is, today's date is 3/14/15 (at least in the US and a few other countries that write dates the same way), which matches up nicely with the first five digits of pi, the ratio of every circle's circumference to its diameter: 3.1415.

A great challenge question is "when is the next true Pi day"? Amazing how many people are stumped.
I'm celebrating with a snack of 3.1415 perfectly round cookies.

It was about as special as cold fries.
It got annoying real quick when all of the C- math students online started posting about it like they are all of a sudden excited about a math concept.

Obama has declared Pi day as racist because it ignores the squares, rectangles and triangles.

The EXEMPT have been meeting for weeks on this.
Some EXEMPT DNC say it will be defined as 3.0
“The Arithmetic Simplification Act”.
Other EXEMPT GOP say it will be defined as 3.2
“The Rational Arithmetic Act”.
All EXEMPT agree this number, and anyone using
it will be taxed to the hilt — unless they
are EXEMPT, Moslem or Amish.
The money will be passed on to incoming aliens
for their education, health and welfare.
Changes will be deemed by the Moslem in the White Mosque.

Aw c'mon, Van, you don't want to be like the Grinch. Some of the math students who are celebrating had a grade point average above 3.141592653589793238462643383279502884197169399375105820974944592307816406286 208998628034825342117067982148086513282306647093844609550582231725359408128481 117450284102701938521105559644622948954930381964428810975665933446128475648233
And anyway, just around the corner there's a rainbow in the sky!

Pi is defined as the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter, yet pi is irrational. Weird.
