J.C.X. Simon—one of the so-called "Zebra Killers" convicted of multiple murders of white San Franciscans in the 1970s—has died...The random killings of whites [14 people were killed and at least seven wounded] occurred between 1973 and 1976. The suspects were named for the police channel used to try to identify and capture them.

Another thing one deduces from the Howard book (above) is that the recruiter and organizer of the Death Angels was Malcolm X. Howard never states it explicitly but it’s there between the lines. I have often wondered if Malcolm was assassinated by the NOI because he was preparing to come clean. Incidentally the poster who said the total killing actually were in the hundreds was quite correct. The Zebra killings covered only the “mosque” in Oakland. The Death Angels operated throughout CA at the very least.
Mayor Alioto announced the news of the raids and announced that the killings were perpetrated by the Death Angels. Black Muslim leader John Muhammad, the minister of Mosque #26 in San Francisco, denied the allegations of a Black Muslim conspiracy to kill whites. The Nation of Islam paid for attorneys for all of the perpetrators convicted, bar Jessie Lee Cooks, who admitted his crimes and pleaded guilty.
The Zebra killers were muslims.
Not exactly- Nation of Islam was a cult of personality around “Elijah Mohammed” that is considered heretical by real muslims; it had nothing in common with conventional islam but Qadaffi’s style of head gear.
Kind of like how the Westborough Baptist Church is not Baptist.
Much later some Sunni influence seeped into the Nation of Islmam but it’s still heretical.

They're all eligible for parole but none have been released. Go figure, considering it's California and all.
