I remember where I was when the verdict was read (for Pamela Smart). I was on my way back to the office listening to talk radio (likely Jerry Williams) when the program was interrupted.

I drove around the block about 10 times waiting for the GUILTY verdict to be read.

This was way before Internet but it was a huge story in the Boston area at the time.

Pamela was close to the same age as me and I likely ran into her as one of my accounts was at the Hampton, NH school she worked at. I was servicing the office equipment there at the time.

The ending statement by Smart shows she continues to deny what she caused. I don’t guess sociopaths get better, do they?
