Stacie Laughton, the state's first openly transgender legislator who was elected to the House of Representatives and then withdrew her candidacy days later, said Thursday that she is the person responsible for calling in a hoax bomb threat at a local hospital.
After spending two weeks receiving treatment at a Vermont hospital for bipolar disorder, Laughton walked into the Nashua Police Department at noon on Thursday and turned herself in on a warrant for the Feb. 27 incident.
“I have had a mental illness my whole life, and I guess this was my worst break with it. I was untreated for a long time, and I didn't have medication,” Laughton told the New Hampshire Union Leader, adding she is very remorseful for her actions.
Laughton said she was not in the right frame of mind when she called in a bomb threat to Southern New Hampshire Medical Center around 8:30 a.m. on Feb. 27. Laughton, who also suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder, described feelings of extreme impulsivity when she made the phone call.
In 2012, Laughton was elected as one of three House members for Ward 4 in Nashua. However, after news surfaced about her previous life as a convicted felon under the name of Barry C. Laughton Jr. in Laconia, Laughton signed her letter of resignation and the Board of Aldermen sought a special election to fill the vacant position.

New job, and I new stuff to do that I cannot do where I lived all my life in VA, and unlike VA no sales tax but heard they get you with the property tax, but in the future I am looking to move to Texas someday and get a home there maybe.

They get you with the property taxes (some of the highest in the nation) AND the outrageous town taxes when you register your car. A VERY expensive place to live...then there is winter...just experienced one of the coldest Februarys EVER. Texas? You’ll LOVE Texas. Good luck.

The Penn Supreme Court ruled just last year ... it is unconstitutional to pray to open a school board meeting !
I don't remember that EVER being part of ANY media (FR included) ... so now I am faced with the chasllenge to pray because I think it is a wise thing to do, and suffer the wrath of the commies on the school board and DARE them to squeal on me ... or just be silent

Yeah we got killed up here this winter, never seen anything like it, still was good to go skiing for the first time in my life, I now do it by myself when I go, my big complaint is the lack of females where I live in NH, in Texas there is a plenty from the Blondes in the West to the Mexican/Latina’s to the south.
scary thing is he is one of the best looking democratic females out there.
