Can I ask a stupid question?

Hillary said that she turned over all work related emails. She printed out 55,000 pages of email.

Then she said she deleted thousands of personal emails.

And she said that the server would remain in her private hands.

My stupid question is: if the server will remain in private hands, why did she and her people feel the need to delete thousands of personal emails? If the server is going to remain private, then why the need to spend all that time deleting strictly personal emails, when all of the government service related emails are in the possession of the state department????

Maybe she is not convinced that it will always remain in her hands.

15 years ago, at Spago in Beverly Hills, is the precusor to why she did this

It’s a toothless law. The people and the National Archive desire that all paperwork be archived. The problem in running any 100+ outfit is that it generates a large amount of trash. We have tons of data in NASA archives that are out of date. I have never seen a key punch reader in person yet they have reels of paper tape. Unless they can get her on RICO or a Title violation then she will get by.

Good point. I tried to go back and delete five year old emails to clear some room on my computer/server and it was tedious so I quit.
